Beatific Soul: Jack Kerouac's On the Road, 1957-2007

Curated by Isaac Gewirtz of the Library's Berg Collection, the centerpiece of the show is the famous continuous scroll on which a draft of On the Road was typed by Kerouac fifty years ago. Also on display are many fascinating manuscripts, letters, drawings, and photographs by Kerouac and the other Beats.
Yaddo: Culture, Crisis, Creativity (Working Title)

Micki McGee is curating an ambitious exhibition drawing from the Yaddo archives, focusing on the lives, connections, and creative collaborations and contributions of the many writers and artists who have resided at Yaddo from the 1920s - 1980, including Truman Capote, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, Katherine Anne Porter and others too numerous to mention. There will be many interesting correspondences and inscribed first editions. Roger is designing the exhibition.
Pfizer Discovery Center

RWD is developing an interactive "mini-museum" which will tell the story of Pfizer's discoveries, innovations, and contributions to the community. It will be located in Charles Pfizer's original lab in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
Textile Exhibition, Spring 2008
Roger is designing a permanent exhibition that addresses the questions: Where did textiles come from in 1800 colonial Brooklyn? What did clothing say about social status? How did interaction with Europeans change the way Native Americans clothed themselves? How are the sources of textiles different today? It will open in Spring, 2008.
