National Archives and Records Administration

 

RWD is designing the opening exhibition, Port of New York, as well as the Welcome Center and wayfinding for the National Archives - New York's new location in the Customs House in lower Manhattan.  RWD has also recently designed installations at NARA's Boston and St. Louis facilities.

 

Discovery Gallery

National Yiddish Book Center, Amherst, MA

 

This permanent exhibition will show how the bookcenter fellows do their amazing work, and tell the stories of two families that typify Yiddish culture in Europe and America.

 

Bristol-Myers Squibb Corp. History Museum

 

RWD is collaborating with History Associates in the design and development of a new exhibit that will tell the story of BMS's 150 years of innovation and discovery.  It will combine multimedia, artifacts, interactives, and static displays to communicate all aspects of the story.

RWD provided exhibition management consultation related to the renovations of the Great Hall of the New-York Historical Society, which opened 11.11.11.

 

 

Making Connecticut

Connecticut Historical Society Museum & Library

 

RWD designed the 19th and 20th century galleries at the Connecticut Historical Society in Hartford that opened in May, 2011.  On display are hundreds of fascinating artifacts and images.  The exhibition covers a range of topics, including the Amistad, 200 years of manufacturing, and changes to Connecticut's demographics and culture.
