Before Victoria, The New York Public Library

RWD is proud to provide design services for the NYPL. It is always a challenge to display books – essentially beige paper – in a way that stimulates and entertains the visitor, as well as communicates the ideas of the curator. The content for NYPL exhibitions is often complex. Roger works hand in hand with the curators to arrange the shows so that the content flows and remains clear.
Before Victoria: Extraordinary Women of the British Romantic Era was exhibited in Gottesman Hall in 2005. The exhibition celebrated the contribution of women to Britain's cultural and political scene in the first half of the 19th Century. It was curated by Stephen Wagner and Elizabeth Denlinger of the Library's Pforzheimer Collection.
